How to be an Exceptional Sponsor
What can you do as a sponsor to help your new member(s) become integrated into the Club, and find the right committee and activities to meet his or her interests and goals?
Best Practices:
- Meet them at Rotary, or car pool together the first few weeks - use that time together to introduce them to
friends and committee chairs.
- Help them get involved in Club Service.
- Bring them to a make-up meeting.
- Invite them to the next social event or fundraiser. Offer to drive together or meet there.
- Be a committee broker! Invite them to attend your favorite committee, or talk to them about their civic
concerns and steer them to a committee that might be of interest.
- Make available resources such as a stack of Rotarian magazines, the Video Library and other available literature.
